Liposomal Amphotericin b is an antifungal medicine, usually administered as an intravenous injection. It works by slowing the growth of fungi that cause infections and destroying them.
Used to treat fungal infections such as cryptococcal meningitis.
Amphotericin B injection can cause side effects such as:
loss of appetite
Side-effects are usually seen 1 to 3 hours after the infusion has started. In some cases, it may necessitate treatment using corticosteroids.
Discuss with your doctor if you have any of the following risks,
History of allergy to Amphotericin B or any of its active ingredients.
History of heart disease or white blood cell transfusion.
If you are carrying or breastfeeding.
